On your screen, in the system section, you will see a processor model number. For example, my CPU model number is i5-3800U.
The first number after the hyphen is actually the generation of your CPU. In this above-mentioned model number, my CPU belongs to the 3rd generation. Another example could be; if my CPU model number is i6-5798, then your generation on INTEL processor will be 5
